I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, the oil capital of Canada. On the whole I am a “city boy”, who enjoys the people aspect and the nightlife. I am a big fan of art and when I was younger I wanted to become either a painter or a writer – the latter still being my unfulfilled dream. I am a Human Resource professional with a background in accounting, married with one child. The last five years I have been honored to work with people involved with Epidermolysis Bullosa and to continue our efforts to find a cure and improve the quality of life to those who are affected. I was elected to DEBRA Canada’s board of directors first as a Director, then as Vice President, and now as Treasurer. I also hold a position on the board of DEBRA International as an Internal Auditor, which has been truly both inspiring and fulfilling. In 2008 my wife and I had been given a gift, our second child that was born with Epidermolysis Bullosa Junctional LOC. Our little angel passed away in Nov 2011, which was heart-breaking, yet it gave our family a purpose – to continue to support anyone we can with EB.
“Some people believe in angels. I held one in my arms.”
